The term NATURAL GAS is used for two different but related things 1. NATURAL GAS: a mixture of methane and ethane, where the methane gas is the one in the biggest proportion, used in homes for cooking and heating, for public transport and in industry.It can be produced with the distillation of different organic materials or obtained from natural Earth resources. 2. NATURAL GAS: a mixture of different gases that comes out from the Earth’s deposits: The composition of this mixture is different from one deposit to another. In general it has methane, ethane, propane, butane, hexane, heptane (in short we write C1, C2, C3, C4, C6, C7 according to the number of carbon atoms of their molecules) water vapour, sulphur oxides and a great quantity of hydrogen sulphide..
